What Rhythia is

Rhythia is a rhythm game built around aiming. Musical beats arrive as flying blocks, and you have to hit them with precise timing and precise aim. Everything happens on a dynamic 3x3 grid, so the playfield stays small and readable while the blocks keep moving. You target individual blocks, build combos by hand, and push your accuracy as high as it will go. The game is in Early Access, so it is still being developed and improved on the familiar gameplay concept.

Playing together

Rhythia has online co-op and online PvP. You can play alongside other people or go up against them directly, and the leaderboards are where your precision gets measured against everyone else's. The point of a match is simple: hold your aim steady, keep your timing clean, and hold your combo longer than the players challenging you. Since the whole game is about accuracy under pressure, playing against others is a good way to see exactly where your timing slips.

Before you start

Expect a learning curve that starts small. Early on you are just getting used to the 3x3 grid layout and picking off single blocks, and the game includes a tutorial to walk you through that. The skill ceiling is high: flawless accuracy, perfect timing and smooth aim transitions are what separate a decent run from a perfect score, and that takes repeated practice rather than a single session.

Rhythia also gives you a lot of control over how it plays and looks. You can adjust gameplay, interface and elements down to fine details, and it ships with shapes, models and presets you can pick from to build your own setup. It is worth spending time in those options early, because a layout and set of visuals you are comfortable with makes the precision work easier to sustain.
