A physics-based climb up Mount Om
Surmount is a platforming adventure built around climbing. You haul yourself up Mount Om, described as the highest mountain in the world, using a physics-based system that is meant to feel approachable rather than punishing. The mountain mixes handcrafted sections with procedurally generated ones, so routes stay varied between runs and you can find different ways up. The climb carries a silly story with eccentric characters you meet along the way, each with their own reasons for heading for the top. The goal is simple to state: be the first ever to reach the summit.
Playing together
You can climb alone, or tether yourself to a friend for local co-op duo play, and Steam lists Remote Play Together as a feature. That makes it a straightforward pick for a Discord group: one person owns the game, others can join in, and the climbing itself stays physical and goofy enough that watching is half the fun. The Daily Mountain challenge lets you test your skills against your friends on the same mountain, so a group can compare runs even when everyone is playing at their own pace. There is also singleplayer if you would rather go up on your own.
Before you start
Plan for unlocking things as you go. You will gain permanent and equipable items that raise your stats, and you can customize how your climber looks. Since routes are partly procedurally generated, expect each attempt to hand you a new arrangement of handcrafted and generated challenges rather than the same fixed course. The tone is cartoony, colorful and family friendly, with parkour and physics driving the movement, so the fun comes from learning your own climbing style and refining it run after run instead of memorizing a single route.
