A Mountain That Wants You Dead

PEAK is a first-person climbing game set on a mysterious island. Your goal is simple: scale the mountain at the center to earn rescue. The catch is that the slightest mistake can spell your doom. You play as a lost nature scout, either alone or with a group, and the mountain changes every single day. The map rotates out every 24 hours, so you can try the new layout each day or give the same island multiple attempts until you conquer it.

Climbing With Your Scout Troop

Multiplayer in PEAK is friends-only. You can invite up to three other scouts through Steam to climb together, or face the mountain alone if you're really brave. Communication happens through proximity chat, so you can talk to whoever is close by. Working together is the main mechanic: you help each other up ledges, or place ropes and climbing spikes to make the way easier for those who come after. You can also earn badges to show off your survival prowess and unlock cosmetics.

Surviving the Ascent

The mountain takes no prisoners. You'll climb through 4 biomes on your way to the PEAK, each with their own life-threatening obstacles. You need to scavenge for questionable food to survive and manage your injuries carefully, because every setback limits your stamina and makes it harder to climb. Discover a variety of helpful survival items, from energy drinks to climbing spikes to the mysterious Anti-Rope. You've got no hope of making it to the PEAK unless you press every advantage given to you. Campfires and marshmallows are also available along the way.
