Saving scientists on Apoxus Prime
PixelJunk™ Shooter Ultimate is a twin-stick shooter where shooting and puzzle solving carry equal weight. Your job is to save the scientists stranded on Apoxus Prime and uncover what went wrong on their research trip. That means studying and manipulating the environment as much as blasting enemies. You can blast through rock, grapple huge blocks of ice, detonate explosive gas, and unleash torrents of water, lava, magnetic oil and corrosive stomach acid onto unsuspecting enemies. All of this runs on an advanced dynamic fluid simulation, so the liquids and gases behave as real substances you can put to work.
Playing together
You can fly the campaign solo or alongside a friend in local co-op. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, so a friend can join over a remote connection. Beyond the campaign, the Online Battle mode lets you take on other players and climb the Global Rankings.
Before you start
The campaign is seamless and stretches across 150 levels, combining PixelJunk™ Shooter and Shooter 2. Progress carries over from PixelJunk™ Shooter, so you can jump straight in where you left off. You can pick between the "Classic" Shooter art style and the new "Ultimate" style, and the release includes a new UI, enhanced environmental lighting, reimagined VFX and vivid fluids. A Photo Mode is there for capturing your most epic moments.
