What Pimbolas is
Pimbolas is a local multiplayer party game built around foosball. You play fast-paced matches across a range of unique arenas, with a wide variety of power-ups on the table to change how a match plays out. It comes from Nano Knight Studio, an independent studio focused on games made to be enjoyed with friends. The tone is cartoony and colorful, so matches read clearly even when things get messy.
Playing together with your group
The game supports local multiplayer for up to 4 players, so a group can sit down together and play matches against each other. You can also work through Arcade Mode, taking on challenging opponents and unlocking new characters and items as you play. The full match is driven by your controller: analog sticks and triggers handle moving, hitting the ball, and spinning, so a standard controller is what you need to have ready before starting.
The chaos that changes each match
Pimbolas leans hard into randomness. Dozens of ball and modifier combinations mean no two matches are ever the same. You might get a giant ball that grows while flying through the arena, a square ball that behaves unpredictably, a fiery ball that burns players, an explosive bomb, a slippery ice ball, a massive planet, a coconut, or a crab that completely breaks the rules of foosball. The variety of power-ups is there to turn every match into pure chaos, so expect leads to swing quickly and simple situations to fall apart without warning.
Remote Play Together is supported, so people who are not in the same room can join in through that feature. Worth knowing before you start: matches are competitive and physics-driven, and the modifiers can undo careful play as fast as they create it. Coming in ready for that keeps the group on the same page.
