What Kabounce is
Kabounce is a multiplayer pinball sport where you take control of the ball itself. Movement is built around momentum and rhythm, so you build up speed, bank off surfaces, and chain bumper hits into combos. Matches are short, five minutes, and the goal is to rack up points and score. Bumper pins give you combos and points, and spinning skill moves let you show off while you build a lead. You can also eliminate opposing players to steal the points they have earned, which keeps the scoreline moving both ways. The soundtrack is a dozen original electronic tracks plus dynamic in-match music that shifts based on how you play.
Playing together
Online multiplayer supports up to 8 players in 4 versus 4, with cross play between PlayStation 4 and Steam players. There is Casual Quick Play and a Ranked option that adds an icon and rating. Matchmaking pairs you with other players, and bots with their own personalities and playing styles fill out matches. Before you spawn you pick between powerful abilities to capture bumpers and eliminate players. Locally, up to 4 players can play split screen, and you can join an online match from there. Remote Play Together is also supported.
Before you start
Single player mode has over 50 time-attack parkour challenges where you race against ghosts or friends, cut corners, and use walls and bumpers to keep your pace up. Each challenge awards bronze, silver, gold, or developer star, and the leaderboard holds the blue star for the best times. Hidden skins and rewards sit in these challenges. The pinball garage lets you pick a pinball, paint it, and add eyewear, accessories, hats, horns, or hair, with millions of possible combinations.
