What Boomerang Fu is

Boomerang Fu is a fast physics party game where you play as food characters throwing boomerangs at each other. Rounds are short and the combat stays light and silly, with cute visuals and goofy hits. The arenas are part of the fight: over 30 Kung Fu arenas each come with their own tools and traps, from moving platforms and lush foliage to sliding walls that squish you and giant rolling pins you have to dive between. There is also a Toaster King to delight.

How your group plays together

You can play with up to 6 players in local multiplayer, or join forces against the AI opponents. There is also an alternative mode where everyone fights over the Golden Boomerang. Power-ups show up during matches and you can stack them into combinations, including explosive boomerangs, disguises and telekinesis. You can also set the rules yourself: pick only the power-ups you like, turn shields off, or switch on friendly fire. Remote Play Together over Steam lets friends join in over the internet, though video quality and input lag depend on your connection and hardware.

Before you start

Controls are simple to pick up: one stick and three buttons is enough to start hitting people. The deeper tech is there if you want it — deflecting attacks, recalling dropped boomerangs, and curving throws around corners. Boomerang Fu works best with controllers, and it supports Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and other controllers.
