What OUTBRK is
OUTBRK is a storm chasing simulator set in a fictional version of America's tornado alley. You take on the role of a professional storm chaser and head into severe weather to gather valuable data. The scenarios are generated randomly and based on real life weather events, so no two chases play out the same. Expect close calls with tornadoes, torrential downpours, and other extreme weather hazards that you have to navigate around.
Playing together as a group
The game supports Online Co-op, so your group can head out into the storm together. The store text also frames it as a multiplayer storm chasing experience where you compete against other chasers. The map covers 625 square kilometers and is filled with landmarks like rivers, canyons, plains, towns, and forests, giving your group plenty of terrain to work with as you plan routes and position yourselves.
Before you start
Risk management is a core part of the job. You need to weigh how close you get to dangerous weather against the value of the data you collect. Between chases you buy new vehicles, upgrade them, and customize them to suit how you like to run. The game is in Early Access, so expect it to still be in development. It is built for PC and played in first-person with a realistic, atmospheric 3D presentation.
