A Dark Fantasy Brawler With Roguelite Runs

Mad King Redemption is a beat 'em up set in a pixelated 2.5D world. The Kingdom has fallen to the Mad King, who used forbidden magic to try to bring back the queen, and lost his sanity in the process. You fight through hordes of corrupted enemies with old-school controls and button smashing, while randomized elements make every run different. The game is in Early Access and carries a Difficult tag, so expect a real challenge rather than a casual stroll.

Four Heroes, Deep Progression

There are 4 playable characters, each with a signature combat style, customizable stats that affect gameplay, and a backstory to uncover. Roguelite progression lets you upgrade your heroes and unlock multiple skills across runs. Choices Matter is one of the tags, so decisions during a run can shape how things play out. PvE is the focus — you are fighting the corrupted hordes, not other players.

Playing Together

Remote Play Together is supported, which lets friends join in over a shared session. The game is tagged as PvE, so the group faces the enemy hordes together rather than competing against each other. Since runs are randomized and the game is flagged as Difficult, expect to retry and adapt as a group.

Before You Start

This is Early Access, so content and balance may still change. The 2.5D perspective and pixel art style are core to the presentation, blending retro feel with 3D mechanics. The Difficult and Action Roguelike tags mean deaths are part of the loop — you come back stronger with upgrades and new skills. The Female Protagonist tag is listed among the game's tags.
