Fighting the green plague in Hyperborea

LIZARDS MUST DIE is a third-person action RPG set in the world of Hyperborea, where the holy places of the Ancestors are under attack. You take the role of a blessed hero from Ancient Rus and cut through hordes of lizards and other unholy creatures that have come for the land. The game leans into spectacle fighting: fast attacks, active combos, and a sword-and-shield rhythm built around Perun's thunder. The tone is atmospheric and cinematic, with realistic 3D environments covering rivers, lakes, forests, and mountains, plus a difficulty tag that warns you the fights will push back.

Playing together with friends

Online Co-op is listed as a supported feature, so you and your group can team up and take on the lizards side by side. The store text names three heroes to pick from: Radislav Bagirov, who handles a sword and a shield; Vseslav the Sorcerer, who fights with two swords and is the most dexterous and fastest of the Rus; and Drocheslav son of Sergeus, a mighty warrior wielding a berdysh whose vitality and immortality are the stuff of legend. Each brings a different feel to a shared run, so your group can split roles or stack favorites as you push through the hordes together.

Before you start

The game is tagged as Difficult and Souls-like, so expect a learning curve and enemies that punish careless play. Dialogs are fully voiced, with a similar voice used for Russian and English produced through SteosVoice software. The tag list includes Singleplayer alongside the Massively Multiplayer genre and Online Co-op feature, so check what mode you are loading into before you invite the group. The story sends you to protect Baikalsk, the Republic of Tyva, and Hyperborea from the lizards and unholy aliens, drink the waters of Baikal, and fight in the name of Svarog, Perun, and Yaril until victory brings god-pleasing festivities across the Rus land.
