Building your starship in the hold
Konfronto is a sci-fi roguelike auto-battler where the ship you fight with is the ship you assemble yourself. You buy cargo from the intergalactic trader and then arrange those pieces inside your ship's hold, and where you place each one matters. The layout is the core of the game: interlocking different technologies in the right spots is what turns a pile of purchases into a ship that can actually win. The hold also has limited room, so every placement is a trade-off between what you want to fit in now and what you want to leave space for later.
Pilots pull in two directions
Pilots are the piece that forces hard choices. Send them out to clear space in the cargo hold and you get more room to build with, or put them in command of spaceships to increase your power instead. They can't do both at the same time, so you're constantly deciding whether your next advantage comes from more building space or more raw strength. That tension runs through the whole run and is where most of the strategy sits.
Fighting other players' ships
Once your ship is built, you take it into head-to-head battles against creations made by other players. The matchmaking is asynchronous, so your opponents don't need to be online when you meet them — you can play through a run on your own schedule and still run into other people's ships along the way. Battles play out automatically from the ship you've assembled, so the outcome is decided by the arrangement and composition you committed to rather than by real-time input.
Before you start
Expect a run-based structure rather than a single fixed ship: each attempt is a fresh sequence of purchases, placements and battles, and some runs will end badly. The game leans cartoony and colorful with a top-down 2D view and a 1990s feel, and it's pitched as family friendly, so the tone stays light even when a build falls apart. Going in, the main thing to get your head around is that inventory management is the combat system — the hold layout you spend time on is exactly what gets tested when you meet another player's creation.
