What Backpack Battles is
Backpack Battles is a PvP inventory management auto battler. You spend gold on items, arrange them inside your backpack, and then the build fights on its own. Placement matters as much as what you buy: items come in different shapes, sizes, prices, and rarities, so fitting them together well is half the strategy. Combine pieces into stronger equipment, brew potions, craft legendary weapons, or hatch a dragon friend. There are over 500 items to work with, and the shop offers rare and legendary finds to build around.
Playing it with friends
Lobbies are the mode for a group: you match friends or streamers live with a timer, then see what everyone came up with and counter them. That makes it a good pick for a Discord session where everyone builds at the same pace and compares results. Custom rules let you play unranked but change gold, maximum health, and more, so a group can set the terms it wants. Unranked is the low-pressure option without timers, and Ranked gives points against equal opponents at your own pace.
Before you start
Pick one of 7 classes depending on your play style, each with 5 subclasses, so there is room to go for heavy crits, poison damage over time, or squirrels. Expect a lot of inventory juggling: the grid layout of your bag is the core of each round, and rearranging items to make everything fit is where the builds come together. The fights themselves play out automatically, so your decisions happen in the shopping and arranging phase rather than in combat. Expect to iterate between rounds, since a new item can force you to rethink the whole layout.
