What Ballest of Them All is

Ballest of Them All is a physics ball game about rolling, jumping and landing cleanly through obstacle courses. You control a ball in third person and try to beat your own best time, then chase faster players' times on the global leaderboards. The game rewards creative routes: finding a smarter line, a better jump or a shortcut can save more seconds than raw speed. Ghosts of faster players show their routes, so you can watch how they took a section and copy or improve on it. The whole thing is stylized and colorful, and it sits in Early Access.

How a group plays it together

Online PvP lets you race other players, and the leaderboards give everyone a shared target to chase: each person grinds their own PB and then tries to climb past the rest of the group. You can also compare routes directly by studying ghosts, which gives the group something concrete to talk about — who found the shortcut, who nailed the landing, who finally beat the floor that was blocking them. Beyond racing, there are 500+ Workshop tracks to run through, so a group can pick a quick sprint, a technical challenge, a trick course or a strange experiment and see who comes out on top. If someone builds a track in the Track Editor, they can share it in-game or through Steam Workshop and the rest of the group can race it.

What to know before starting

There are 20 official tracks plus the player-built ones, so content keeps growing as people publish new courses. The Tower holds 14 floors of Ballest's toughest tricks and challenges, and it has no checkpoints — a mistake means starting the floor over, so expect some repetition there. Movement is physics-based, which means landings and jumps take practice before they feel consistent; that's normal and it's where the time gains come from. The Track Editor is built in, so making your own course is part of the package rather than an extra tool. Customization covers hats, skins and goal explosions for your ball, which is mostly cosmetic flair for showing off after a run. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to change as it develops.
