A physics fishing trip gone wrong
How to Fish is a physics based fishing simulator for 1 to 4 players. The premise is simple: you were out drinking and boating, crashed into a small island, and now you have to work your way back home by learning how to fish. You start with no gear and no weapons, so the first stretch of the game is about earning money and getting equipped. The core loop is catching fish, killing fish, and selling fish. Money buys better gear, better weapons, and other useful stuff. Trick shots pay more, and there is gambling available if you want to push your luck for even more money.
Playing together with your group
Online Co-op supports up to 4 players, so your group can split up the work or fish side by side. One person can focus on quests while another hunts for rare fish variants, or you can all chase the same goal and compare hauls. The physics based systems mean casts, boats, and fish behave with some unpredictability, which gives you plenty to laugh about when a group session goes sideways. Since progression runs through quests and bosses, you can treat it as a shared push toward the next island rather than a solo grind.
What to know before you start
Progression is gated by quests and bosses. Clearing them unlocks new islands that hold more dangerous creatures and access to better gear, so expect the difficulty to climb as you move outward. There is a collection angle too: each fish has a rare variant worth chasing if you like completing sets. The game runs in first person and carries tags for combat, shooter, and action alongside the fishing and simulation side, so encounters are not purely peaceful angling. Going in, plan for a loop of catching, selling, upgrading, and taking on whatever the next island throws at you.
