What Grapple Tournament is
Grapple Tournament is a VR arcade shooter built around movement. You run, jump, double jump, wall jump, and pull yourself up with a grappling hook, then chain those abilities with your 3D maneuvering gear to build movement combos that are hard to track. The maps are designed with verticality in mind, so the fight is as much about holding the high ground as it is about aiming. Combat is fast and vertical: grapple-swing around a corner to surprise someone, or grapple while holding a weapon to stay mobile. You always have an energy blade on hand as a melee option, and you can summon an energy bow to fire an arrow at any time.
Playing together with friends
Multiplayer is the core of the game, and you can start alone or with friends — matchmaking fills out the rest. Deathmatch puts up to 6 players against each other, everyone for themselves. Team Deathmatch is 3v3, where teamwork matters: shield allies, assist attacks, and heal teammates when things go wrong. Capture Point adds a strategic layer to the 3v3 team fights — stay inside point areas to capture them and hold them with your whole arsenal, and the team with the most points wins. Mutant works differently: eliminate the mutant to become it yourself. As the mutant you are stronger, but everyone else is hunting you. There are also co-op challenges, and bots are available if you want to practice or just have a relaxed session.
Weapons and loadouts
There are more than 12 weapons, ranging from mechanical guns and plasma pistols to energy rifles, single-fire and automatic, hitscan and projectile-based. You get target-following lasers, shotguns, grenade launchers, rockets, and dual miniguns if you want to play as a walking turret. Double-handed weapons each have a primary and secondary fire mode, so you can pick the right response for the situation. Dual wielding any weapon combination is allowed, which sets up a real choice between mobility and firepower.
Before you start
A practice range is included for 3D training, with drones wearing hats, and a sandbox mode where you can try every weapon. Character customization covers hats and accessories. Arenas range from sci-fi factories and cave excavations to Japanese temples and Greek monuments, both outdoors and enclosed spaces. The game runs in virtual reality, so expect to use full movement controls, and expect the vertical maps to punish anyone who stays on the ground.
