What Foodslingers Is
Foodslingers is a physics-based cooking game from Ardent Games where you sling food, parkour around the map, and coordinate with friends to serve every customer on time. It runs in first person and leans on speed, strategy, and a bit of panic. The main run is a time-trial mode with evolving levels, tools, and new recipes. There are 21 levels to work through, over 20 unique recipes with variants, and plenty of hats and accessories to unlock along the way. The game is in Early Access, so expect it to keep changing as development moves forward.
Playing Together
You can play with up to 4 friends in online co-op, and each level has variations that match your group size, so a duo and a full squad each get a version built for them. Only your best score counts, which means you can keep rerunning a level to beat your own mark. In-game voice and text chat are there for calling out orders and coordinating who grabs what. There are also over 40 achievements to chase if your group likes working through a checklist together.
Other Modes and What to Know
Two extra modes sit alongside the main time trial. Endless Mode picks one of the game's 3 areas and keeps the customers coming, with placeable equipment and team perks to upgrade your run as it goes. Food Fight drops the cooking entirely and lets your group settle who the head chef is. The developer, Kenny (Tinfoil), describes Foodslingers as built around fun and making moments between friends, and notes that community involvement will shape the game's design and experience, with some players' names and cosmetics possibly ending up in the game.
