Running a restaurant from the bottom up
Cook, Serve, Delicious! puts you behind the counter of a failing one-star eatery and tasks you with building it into a five-star place. You plan the menu, cook the orders, and upgrade your equipment and ingredients as you go. The core loop is easy to learn: pick what to serve, prep it when orders come in, and keep the line moving. The depth comes from juggling a full menu under time pressure while deciding which foods to upgrade, which raises both the price and the difficulty.
There are 30 foods to cook, and each one can be upgraded with new ingredients. Weather and other dynamic events shift what customers want, so a menu that works one day may need tweaking the next. The game is tagged as difficult, so expect a learning curve once the dinner rush hits.
Playing together in the same room
The game supports local multiplayer across several modes. In the Co-Op Campaign, two players run the whole campaign together: one acts as the expediter, passing orders along, while the other cooks them at the station. Tag-Team mode lets up to four players share the chef station in Battle Kitchen, with each cook getting fifteen seconds to work and five seconds to brief the next person. Endurance Mode is a tag-team effort for up to four players aiming to make as many foods perfectly as possible. Strike Challenges offer 12 challenges that can be tackled solo or with up to four players.
Remote Play Together is available, so a friend can join over the internet as well.
What comes in the package
Two expansion packs are included. Battle Kitchen Edition adds new modes and 25 cameo characters drawn from other indie games. Extra Crispy Edition adds 10 foods on top of the base roster. Before starting, know that the campaign is single-player or two-player co-op, while the tag-team and challenge modes are where the larger group gets involved. The typing and time-management tags reflect how orders are handled: fast inputs under pressure, with the difficulty scaling as you upgrade your menu.
