What DeathSprint 66 is

DeathSprint 66 is an on-foot racer set in 2066, where the Bachman Media Network runs a brutal entertainment show and you race as a Clone Jockey with an endless supply of clones to burn through. You run, jump, drift and slide across extreme obstacle courses packed with booby traps, deadly traversals and opportunities to take out rivals. Chaining traversals together puts you into a flow state and earns HYPE, which is the currency behind the abilities you can deploy mid-race. The tracks sit in the ruins of long-abandoned cities of the old world, built purely to keep blood-thirsty viewers entertained.

How a group plays it together

Races are 8 player PvP, so your group fills a lobby and fights across the same obstacle course at once. Winning is not the only thing that counts: entertaining the audience on track leads to bigger rewards off it, so playing to the crowd matters as much as crossing the line first. Tributes collected during a race unlock abilities such as Enraged Charge, Seeker Drone, Mag Shield and the GIGA SAW, and a well-timed one can decide the race, so split-second choices about when to spend them are part of the fight. Because tracks are loaded with traps and rival-takedown opportunities, no two races play out the same way.

Before you start

Expect a difficult, fast-paced combat racer with gore, violence and dark humor baked into its tone. It is a third-person 3D runner with a futuristic, cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic setting, and it supports controller play. Your FAME rank measures how attractive you are to sponsors, and a higher rank unlocks a greater variety of cosmetics for your runner, so performance between races feeds into how your character looks. The core loop is simple to grasp and hard to master: survive the track, keep the audience entertained, and spend your abilities where they hurt most.
