What Screamer is
Screamer is an arcade racing game where the cars fight as much as they race. The setting is a futuristic universe with 90s anime aesthetics and a neon-lit look. The story follows the Screamer tournament, run by a mysterious master, where five teams have each entered for their own reasons: soldiers, scientists, criminals, superstars, and ruthless magnates. Every driver steers a vehicle built around their style, with its own design and a unique ability. Longing, ambition, and vengeance drive the field, so every race is a fight and every battle is personal.
How a group plays together
Your group can race against each other online in PvP, or gather around one screen in split-screen mode. Across the various game modes, some focus on reaching the finish line while also taking down opponents, while others reward staying in Overdrive as long as possible. Being the fastest is not always enough, so expect to fight for position as much as for the line.
What to know before starting
The core of driving is the ECHO, the tech that changed racing forever. You juggle between Boost, Strike, and Shield to stay ahead: bursts of speed, well-placed hits to knock rivals off the track, and protection when they come for you. When Overdrive kicks in, it is full-throttle chaos with no brakes and no room for anyone in your path. Pick your driver before you start, since each one brings a vehicle and a unique ability that shapes how you approach the showdown.
