Paint Chroma City back to life

The I.N.K.T. Corporation has drained Chroma City of its color and declared it a crime. You play as de Blob, a blob of paint who bounces, flips and smashes through the gray city to bring it back. You pick up paint and hurl de Blob at buildings, walls, statues and roads. Every landing adds color, but your paint supply drains as you go, so you need to grab more paint and rehydrate at pools and hydrants around the city. You start with red, blue and yellow, and you blend them to make other colors as you go.

Play together

The game has a story-driven singleplayer mode where you take missions from the Color Revolutionaries and paint the town to earn points. For groups, there is 4-player split screen across eight multiplayer modes on street and sewer maps. Paint Match has you cover as many buildings as you can and steal points by re-painting what opponents already covered. Blob on the Run works like Capture the Flag: one blob paints while the others chase and slam him to take the paint ability. Blob Race gives each building one paint job, marked by arrows, and you race the clock to cover the town and block the others. Remote Play Together is supported, so one person can host and others can join in.

Before you start

Expect a mix of platforming and combat. You will dodge hot plates, electric shocks, ink turrets and ink cannons while flattening I.N.K.T. tanks and outsmarting Inky soldiers. Paint runs dry as you move, so plan routes past hydrants and pools. You can super-size de Blob to take on larger enemies. The city also lets you set custom colors, patterns and soundtracks. The Steam Edition adds higher texture and lightmap resolution, upscaled videos, FXAA, resolution and quality options, keyboard and mouse plus gamepad support with remapping, and unofficial Wiimote support.
