A fairy-tale fall into hell

Creepy Tale 3: Ingrid's Penance is a hand-drawn point-and-click adventure about a spoiled girl who crushes a loaf of bread to keep her shoes clean and drops all the way down to hell. The underworld is packed with strange creatures: some want to swallow her, some want to trap her in endless nightmares, and some want to turn her into a garden statue. Her only company is Molek, a talkative, sarcastic demon who has been watching her struggle with amusement. The story is fully voiced and pulls in references to Hans Christian Andersen, the Brothers Grimm and other classic authors, so it reads like a dark fairy tale played out scene by scene.

How a group plays it together

The game is a singleplayer experience, but Remote Play Together lets friends join in from their own machines while one person hosts. One player drives Ingrid through the hand-drawn environments and decides what to interact with, while the rest of the group watches along and can chime in with ideas on puzzles, hazards and which route to take. That suits a Discord call well: whoever has the game loaded hosts, everyone else comes along for the ride, and the party can talk through the odd mechanics and traps the game throws at you. The choices that shape the ending become a shared discussion rather than a solo guess.

What to know before starting

Expect a side-scrolling, 2D puzzle adventure with escape-room style challenges that mix several different mechanics, so the solutions are not always the same trick twice. Your choices and actions across the whole game decide Ingrid's fate, and there are multiple endings, so a run where someone in the group pushes a different option can go somewhere genuinely new. The tone is dark and atmospheric, dealing with hell, creepy creatures and psychological horror, though it is tagged as family friendly and keeps a fairy-tale edge rather than going for gore. Play the whole thing to see where Ingrid's penance leads, then come back and pick a different path.
