What Clonizer is
Clonizer is a turn-based tactics game built on hex grids, wrapped in roguelike deckbuilding. You play as an employee of CLONPO, sent out into a procedurally generated galaxy to Clonize planets and work toward employee of the month. Missions are laid out on hex-based planets, and each planet brings its own set of tiles and aliens that change how the battlefield plays. You use your Clonizer to create Clonees, and those Clonees explore, control areas, construct buildings, and fight unintelligent aliens with ultra-smart tactics. Along the way you also run into broken Faultees, gone-rogue Clonees, eccentric events, and shopkeepers who range from opportunistic to parasitic.
How the deck comes together
Cards are the other half of the game. You collect them from various departments and divisions, each with its own theme and mechanics, then upgrade them, specialize your Clonees, buy powerful goodies, and gather unique blueprints to build a deck that fits your corporate needs. Because the galaxy is procedurally generated, every expedition hands you a different mix of missions, layouts, and difficulties, so the deck you assemble rarely looks the same twice. You choose your own path through the galaxy, deciding which planets to take on, which events to walk into, and which trades to make.
What to know before starting
This is a roguelike run structure: you build your deck as you go, and a run ends when it ends, so expect to start fresh and try a different approach. The game leans cute and wholesome in its presentation, with colorful planets and charming aliens, but the tactics underneath are real — positioning on the hex grid, area control, and how you deploy and specialize your Clonees all matter. Combat is turn-based throughout, so there is time to think between moves. Progress carries forward in the form of unlocks: new cards, spaceships, customization options, and higher challenges open up as you play. Remote Play Together is supported, so a friend can join your session from their own copy.
