A shoot 'em up against the chicken fleet

Chicken Invaders 5 puts you in a spaceship fighting intergalactic chickens who want revenge for how Earth chickens have been treated. Their plan this time is to block out the sunlight and freeze the planet. You travel around the galaxy to find an ancient piece of an artifact and stop them. It is a 2D arcade shooter in the classic shoot 'em up style, with dense waves of enemies and bullets to dodge.

Playing together with friends

The game supports Online Co-op and Remote Play Together, so you and your friends can team up in the same session. There is also Local Co-Op for people sharing one screen. Everyone controls a ship and works through the same waves, so coordinating who covers which part of the screen helps when the screen fills up with projectiles. The co-op tags cover both online and couch play, so your group can pick whichever setup suits it.

What to expect before you start

Expect a bullet hell pace: lots of enemies on screen and plenty of incoming fire to weave through. The tone is light and jokey, with the hero's log entries breaking up the action between fights. It is tagged both Casual and Action, so the moment-to-moment play is fast, but the game does not demand serious competitive play to enjoy it. Check the co-op options in the game menu first so everyone joins the same session before you launch into a wave.
