What CENTO is
CENTO is a card battler where you enter commands in time with the music to activate skills. Each stage has its own BGM, and the tempo and beat of that track change how the fight plays out, so a song set in the city feels different from one set in the ruins. Your hand of cards and your opponent's attacks both matter: you pick a clever beat based on the combination you're holding and what's coming at you, then spend gifts you collect to reinforce your skills as the run goes on. The result is a run that mixes deckbuilding with turn-based tactics and a rhythm layer, all in pixel graphics.
Playing it together
CENTO is listed as singleplayer, so one person runs the run while the rest of the group watches along. Steam's Remote Play Together is supported, which lets friends join in from their own machines without everyone owning a copy. In practice that means one player drives the deck, the timing and the choices, and the others can follow the beats, suggest which skills to reinforce, and argue over the strongest combination of cards and gifts. It works well as a spectator-and-coach setup: the rhythm calls are easy to shout out, and the deck decisions give everyone something to weigh in on.
Before you start
Expect a run-based structure rather than a single fixed fight. Endurance mode asks you to keep battling in a row while you reinforce your skills and pick up gifts, then unleash a powerful attack with the new skills you've built. Since the playing experience shifts with each track's tempo and beat, a deck that works on one stage may need adjusting on another — the card combinations you assemble from skills and gifts from existing characters are the tool you tune for that. Come in ready to read the rhythm of each song, and treat your deck as something you reshape as the gifts come in rather than something you set once and forget.
