Two fields, one defense

Cats on Duty mixes real-time strategy, tower defense, and match-3 into a single loop. You run two game fields at once: a resource field where you connect gems to earn currency, and a battlefield where you place and swap cats to build towers. Buying cat towers, matching three kittens in a row, and combining cats on the battlefield all feed the same defense, so you are constantly deciding between gathering resources and strengthening the line.

Building your cat army

Your soldiers are armed cats with different roles, from long-range rifles to close-range ninjas and shotgun specialists. Placement matters: rifles hold enemies at a distance while blade-wielding cats handle what gets close. Swapping and combining cats upgrades towers, and matching three kittens produces a SUPER BATTLE CAT. Each cat has its own personality and special ability, so the squad you assemble changes how a level plays out.

What you fight and where

You face 50 types of creatures, including zombies, skeletons, spiders, Baba Yaga, and bosses. Levels are set across varied environments such as suburban backyards and a desert, each with its own layout and challenges. The pixel art keeps the tone light even when the waves get heavy.

Before you start

The game is tagged as singleplayer, though it also supports Remote Play Together for playing with friends. Expect a steady back-and-forth between matching gems for currency and managing tower placement as enemies advance. The match-3 layer is not a separate mode; it runs alongside the tower defense, so you will be reading both fields during a wave.
