What Cats Love Boxes is
Cats Love Boxes is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure about Fofiño and Lily, two cats who can't leave a box alone. You move boxes around a grid to set up the funniest play they've planned, level by level. The puzzles are built on Sokoban-style pushing: you can only shove a box in the direction you're facing, so every move matters and boxes can end up stuck in corners if you're not careful. The tone stays light and cozy throughout, with a cartoon look and a family-friendly feel that suits a relaxed session rather than a tense one.
Playing it together
You can play solo or in co-op, and the game supports local multiplayer as well as Remote Play Together, so a friend can join from their own machine even if they don't have the game. In co-op you're both working the same grid, pushing boxes toward their targets, which means coordinating who stands where and who takes which box. Two pairs of hands help when a level has several boxes to line up, but they also mean you can block each other, so it pays to agree on a plan before you start shoving. The co-op campaign runs through the same levels as the singleplayer run, so a group can work through the whole thing side by side.
Before you start
There are three worlds, each with its own twist on the box mechanics, and more than 60 levels in total. Expect the difficulty to come from planning rather than reflexes: the game is turn-free but grid-based, so you can always stop and think about where a box will end up. Character customization lets you dress up the cats as you go, which is a nice break between puzzles. It's a casual, wholesome game with no pressure systems, so it works well as a shared couch game or a low-key remote session with friends.
