Petting as your main attack

Pet the Cat is a top-down bullet-hell shooter where the cat itself is the weapon. You move the mouse over the cat to pet it, and each pet triggers powerful attacks while enemies fill the screen. The core loop is simple: dodge incoming bullets, keep petting to fire back, and survive as long as you can against endless waves. Runs are short and score-driven, so a bad attempt just means restarting and trying for a better number. The hand-drawn cartoon art keeps the chaos readable, and the whole thing stays cute even when the arena is packed with projectiles.

Building your kitty between waves

Between waves you get to pick food, items, and weapons, which is where the run takes shape. Each choice stacks onto the last, so one attempt might lean into a fast-firing weapon while another goes for heavy hits. Weapons can be upgraded further, and a talent tree gives you more options to spend on, meaning no two runs need to play the same way. This is the roguelike part: you adapt to what the game hands you and try to push deeper than last time. A global leaderboard is there if you care about where your score lands against other players.

Playing together and what to expect

The game is tagged as singleplayer, so the main experience is one person at the controls. Remote Play Together is supported, which lets friends watch along and join in over a stream from the same session. Expect a score attack structure rather than a story mode: you fight waves, upgrade, and see how long you last. Quick reflexes matter more than planning, since the screen fills with bullets fast. It suits short sessions where someone wants to squeeze in a run or two, and it suits groups where one person plays while the rest react to the near-misses.
