Office pets stuck in the building
Pets at Work puts you in a colorful office where dogs and cats have wandered off from their owners. You move through 2D side-view stages made of desks, shelves, tables and office clutter, and the goal is to get the lost pets back together. The game leans on puzzle platforming rather than combat: you push boxes, arrange mats, and trigger buttons to build paths and reach places you could not get to alone. Some stages play it straight, others just let you shove things around and make a mess of the place. The whole thing is cartoony and light in tone, with casual pacing that suits a group that does not want a stressful session.
Playing together
The game is built for local co-op, so several people share one screen and each takes control of a pet. Everyone has to solve the same stage as a team, which means coordinating who stands where, who pushes the box, and who waits on the pressure plate. The tag list includes Local Multiplayer alongside Local Co-op, and Remote Play Together is supported, so friends who are not in the same room can still join a session over the internet. It also works as a singleplayer game if you would rather handle the stages on your own.
What to know before starting
There are 30 stages, using more than 6 different mechanics, so expect the rules to shift as you progress rather than repeating one trick for the whole run. Genres and tags place it across adventure, casual and strategy, with puzzle platformer as the core loop, so the challenge comes from figuring out the room, not from quick reflexes. The presentation is 2D with pixel graphics in a cartoon, colorful style, and the tags include relaxing, casual and arcade alongside co-op and puzzle, so a session can go either chill or brisk depending on how your group plays.
