What Bucket Brawl: Ahlman Edition is

Bucket Brawl: Ahlman Edition is a fast-paced arena fighter where animal toys try to recycle each other in a world of plastic and raining buckets. You throw buckets at other players, knock them off ledges, push them into traps, and try to be the last toy standing. Buckets are the main weapon: they fall from the sky, you pick them up and toss them, and they rebound off walls and obstacles, so a bad throw can still bounce into someone. Golden buckets show up too, and hitting a player with one sends them out immediately. The longer a round runs, the higher the chance a golden bucket appears.

It's an early student project version of the upcoming Bucket Brawl, so expect a rougher, smaller take on the idea rather than the full game.

How your group plays it together

This is couch multiplayer for up to 4 players on one screen. You pick from a range of animal characters and set your own colors, so everyone can tell themselves apart in the chaos. The maps have their own environments and obstacles, and each one brings its own mechanics to play around.

If someone gets bucketed, they can mash the throw button to break free before the others finish them off, which keeps eliminated players busy and gives the group something to shout about. Getting knocked into a trap or off the stage ends your run for that round.

Before you start

You don't need four controllers. Two players can share one keyboard, one on WASD and one on the arrow keys, and the game also supports Xbox controllers and other common PC gamepads. Remote Play Together is available, so friends can join over a connection instead of being in the same room.

The game is free to play and tagged as family friendly, casual and comedy, with physics-based combat at the center. It carries a bombastic soundtrack to match the pace. Since it's an early project, treat it as a taste of where Bucket Brawl is heading rather than the finished version.
