A precision platformer with deadly traps

Bloody Trapland 2: Curiosity is a 2D pixel-art platformer set across the mysterious islands of the Traplands. You play as one of four adventurers — Jack, Henry, Jazzy or Blanky — sailing between islands and solving the puzzles of the ancients. The core loop is jumping, sliding, dashing and dodging through levels packed with deadly traps. The game describes itself as hard yet fair: it will not hold your hand, but the challenge is meant to be learnable. Along the way you will find hidden collectables and secrets, uncover mysteries and unravel the story. Boss battles punctuate the journey.

Playing together as a group

The game supports 1-4 players online and/or in splitscreen, and you can combine local and online play in the same session. Online runs on dedicated servers with no setup needed, and you can browse public games to join other players. Locally it supports keyboard and controller on the same screen, plus Couch Play with Steam Link. The co-op campaign lets your whole group work through the levels together, while Online PvP is also available for those who want to compete instead. Remote Play Together lets others join in over the internet from your session.

Before you start

Story mode contains 50+ levels, and Challenge mode generates worlds randomly for runs that differ each time. There are 31 legitimate achievements, and unlockable content is awarded only to the persistent, so expect to put in repeated attempts. The game includes a powerful in-game editor with full workshop support: you can edit any level from the game, build new ones from scratch, and share them for others to play in challenge mode. It was shaped by almost two years of Early Access with direct player feedback. Expect a difficulty curve that rewards practice, and a mysterious skunk somewhere along the way.
