Running a bar that keeps falling apart
Barfender is a co-op bar simulator for one to four players. You pour beers, shake cocktails, take orders, mop up puke, and clean shattered glasses while the night gets worse. Customers get drunk and impatient, orders pile up faster than you can serve them, and mess spreads across the floor. Unwanted guests wander in and thieves grab what they can reach. The goal each shift is simple: keep the bar running before it completely collapses.
Playing it with friends
Online co-op lets you split the work with your crew. One person can pour, another can clean, someone else can handle the troublemakers — or everyone scrambles and things go wrong. Customers have personalities: polite regulars, rowdy drunks, hopeless romantics, and bar brawlers. Keeping tempers down matters, because a bad night can turn into a full-blown bar fight and cost you. Teammates can also get in each other's way, mug included.
Building, unlocking, and filling the place
You design and style the bar yourself, then try to keep the crowd from tearing it apart. Progression runs through unlocking drinks, tools, and upgrades: craft better drinks, expand the space, and grow from a scrappy old bar into a bigger nightlife operation. Resource management sits alongside the chaos — money matters when a fight breaks out. When things calm down, there are darts, pool, retro arcade machines, and a rodeo bull to blow off steam.
Before you start
Barfender is in Early Access, so expect the game to still be changing. It runs on controller and is tagged as both a singleplayer and an online co-op game, so you can work the bar alone or with up to three others. The tone is comedy first: spills, puke, and broken glass are the point, not a failure state.
