What Aragami is
Aragami is a third person stealth game where you play an undead assassin with control over shadows. You are a vengeful spirit summoned by Yamiko, a girl locked inside the city fortress of Kyuryu, and your task is to infiltrate the occupied city and fight the army of Light with shadow. The game leans on supernatural abilities rather than brute force: you can teleport from shadow to shadow, become invisible, materialize weapons, create your own shadows to hide in, and summon a shadow dragon to deal with enemies. Along the way you uncover a story about twin souls bound together by destiny, one that reaches across time and memory.
Playing it together
Aragami has online co-op, so you can run missions with a friend instead of going in alone. Both players move through the same shadow-heavy levels, so the natural way to play is to split up, cover different routes, and set up shadows for each other to jump between. Since the game rewards staying unseen, coordinating who distracts a guard and who slips past works better than both of you charging in. The shadow powers give you options for dealing with enemies quietly or, if things go wrong, summoning heavier abilities to clear a path.
Before you start
Approach each scenario as a puzzle with several solutions. You can play as a merciless emissary of death or as an undetectable ghost, and the game supports either style, so pick how aggressive you want to be and stick with it. Light is the main threat: guards and lit areas cut off your movement, so learning where shadows run and where you can create new ones is the core skill. Expect a story-driven campaign with a dark tone, blood and combat along the way, and a soundtrack that sets the atmosphere. Take the first few missions slowly to learn the teleport and invisibility timings before you start pushing for faster runs.
