Sneak Through Big Sandboxes as a Goblin Assassin
Styx: Shards of Darkness puts you in control of a goblin assassin on a mission with serious stakes for his kin. The levels are large, multi-layered environments built for vertical play: climb the Elven city, move through Dwarven territory, and cross wide open lands full of threats. You can creep through dark corners or climb high to stay out of sight, and the choice of route is yours. Along the way you can pick up artifacts, gather ingredients to craft traps and items, and spend experience points on assassination, infiltration, and magic skills to unlock new abilities.
Play It Solo or With a Friend
You can run missions alone or team up with a friend in online co-op. Both players control Styx, so you can split up to cover more ground, set up distractions, and cover each other while moving through enemy territory. The clone ability lets you create a copy of yourself to draw guards away, which opens up room for coordinated takedowns when you play together. Either way, the goal is the same: get through the level without being caught, or deal with the enemies in your path if things go loud.
What to Know Before You Start
This is a stealth game at heart, and it is not forgiving. Guards, traps, and bosses will punish careless movement, so plan your route before you commit. Take time to learn how the skill tree works, since points spent in infiltration or magic change what options you have in a level. Crafting also matters: ingredients you find turn into traps and tools that can clear a path or buy you time. If you are playing co-op, coordinate before you move in, because one player alerting a patrol can put both of you in trouble.
