What 11F is about
11F is a first-person horror and mystery game set inside a large building called "The Origin." After his father's funeral, the protagonist Adam receives a real estate rights transfer certificate for the building from an unknown sender. Inside he finds a note with his name on it: "Adam, I'll be waiting on the 11th floor." The catch is that the building does not have an 11th floor, yet Adam heads there anyway to find out what is waiting. The game leans on atmosphere, exploration, and a story told through the spaces you walk through rather than through combat.
How a group plays it together
The Steam features list includes Remote Play Together, so one person can own the game and invite friends to join in. The store text describes the experience as a singleplayer walking simulator with first-person exploration, so the group's role is mostly watching and sharing reactions as one player moves through the building. Everyone can weigh in on which rooms to check next and what the clues mean as the story unfolds.
What to know before starting
The building is large and open to explore in any order, with over 20 rooms, each with its own theme and its own ghosts. Former residents who were deemed troublesome tenants have turned into strange entities that wander the halls, so part of the game is avoiding them while searching for the hidden 11th floor. The residents' lives and sufferings hold clues that may lead you upward, and the "Troublemaker Neighbors" booklet is there to help you make sense of what you find. Expect multiple endings, puzzles, and a surreal, psychological tone as you push toward the mystery on the 11th floor.
