Crewing the Submarine
We Need To Go Deeper is a cooperative submarine roguelike set in a Verne-inspired undersea world. You and up to three friends take on jobs aboard one of several unlockable submarines. One player pilots while the others repair damage, load torpedoes, and reroute power. The game is built around constant communication, so you either talk to your crew or watch the dive end badly. If you are short on humans, you can fill empty spots with bots or play with strangers.
Exploring the Living Infinite
Your voyages take place in the Living Infinite, an undersea trench that changes every time you descend. The biomes are randomized, and you will go on foot into new areas to find loot and civilizations. A dynamic difficulty system adjusts the challenge as you go, keeping each run unpredictable. Along the way you can dig up a wide range of tools and weapons, from simple wrenches to wedding rings to electricity-powered gear. You can also dress your diver in 19th-century outfits, including non-gender-specific mustaches.
Before You Dive
This is a roguelike, so expect runs that end and restart rather than a single continuous campaign. The 2D presentation uses hand-drawn art with a steampunk and Lovecraftian feel. The core loop is PvE, though the game also supports Online PvP alongside its Online Co-op. Plan on playing with voice or text chat ready, since coordinating repairs, weapons, and power routing under pressure is the main point of the game.
