Cleaning Up Pharma Corps' Mess
Murky Divers sends you to the ocean floor to deal with the leftovers of Pharma Corps' abandoned labs. The job is simple on paper: pull every corpse out of the wrecks, haul them back to your submarine, and run them through the shredder for credits. The wrecks are procedurally generated, so no two dives play out the same, and they are packed with dangers and creatures that will kill you if you get careless. Oxygen is always ticking down, often faster than you would like, so you need to move with purpose rather than wander.
Crew Sizes and Shared Duties
You can go solo, pair up in the small sub, run a regular sub with up to 4 players, or pack 5 to 8 players into the large sub for a full chaotic crew. Everyone has a role to keep the dive alive. One or two people pilot the submarine while others head into the wrecks with the caddie to extract bodies. The sub itself is blind: you navigate by sonar and the stations, so someone needs to stay aboard and call out what the instruments show. Proximity voice chat means you hear your crewmates by distance, which matters when you are split between the sub and a wreck. Immersive 3D audio helps you pick up on what is moving around you in the dark.
Spending Credits and Staying Alive
Credits earned from destroyed bodies go straight into preparing for the next expedition. Buy items like Agent NUTS, the shopping cart, or the scooter. Upgrade yourself with see-through vision, body part detectors, or a grappling hook. Fit the sub with modules for greater depth, bigger fishing nets, and more. Completing missions and activities unlocks diving suits to customize your look. Before you dive, sort out who pilots, who extracts, and who watches the sonar, because the open ocean hides things you would rather not meet head-on.
