A dungeon that waits for you

WazHack is a side-scrolling roguelike dungeon crawler where time only moves when you do. Step, and the dungeon reacts; stand still, and nothing happens. That gives you room to think through a bad situation instead of mashing attack and chugging healing potions. The dungeon is procedurally generated, so each run lays out different corridors, monsters and loot. Death is permanent, so a mistake you survive becomes a lesson and a mistake you don't ends the run.

Making your own solutions

There are over 350 unique items to find and over 170 different monsters, many with unusual attacks. That combination is where the game's strategy lives: a wand, a potion or a spellbook can turn a hopeless corner into a plan. Unknown items are a gamble — that potion might be Healing, or that wand might be Magic Missile, or it might be a Wand of Create Monster and make things worse. Some runs hand you a good weapon early; others push you toward wands, potions and spells. You start by picking one of 16 character classes, each with its own starting equipment, stats, belief system and talents, and the build you end up with depends heavily on what you pick up. A knight who finds a strong spellbook can become a battle mage; a Bard can build an audience of music-loving kobolds.

Playing with friends

WazHack supports online co-op and online PvP, so your group can either team up in the dungeon or play against each other. Since time advances only when someone acts, there is space to talk through a plan before committing to a move — which matters when a wrong step means permanent death.

Before you start

Expect a difficult game with permadeath and procedural generation; no two runs hand you the same tools. The pace is deliberate rather than frantic — some of the best moments are spent standing still, working out how to get out of a sticky situation. Go in ready to experiment with unknown items, adapt to whatever loot shows up, and treat each death as part of learning the dungeon.
