A quiet trip through space
VOYAGER puts you in charge of Voyager, a small craft with one job: bring the light back. You boost around little solar systems, drawing trails behind the planets as you go. The whole thing runs on an orbital physics simulation, so the bodies you pass keep moving on their own and your path through them changes each time. Along the way you find collectible post cards and unlock narrative pieces, plus new music for the in-game lofi radio. Levels open up in a star chart where you pick where to fly next, and there is an endless mode once you have songs unlocked.
Playing together on the couch
Couch co-op is built in, so a second person can join you on the same screen. Between the two of you you are boosting around the same systems, chasing planet trails and trying to light the whole system up. Remote Play Together is also listed as a Steam feature, which lets someone join over a connection rather than sitting next to you. Either way it stays simple: the controls are minimal, so there is not much to learn before you are both flying.
What to know before you start
This is a relaxed, abstract experience rather than a demanding one. The art is stylized and minimalist, with several art styles to move between, and the tone is atmospheric and a little philosophical. There are level packs for Voyager, Supernova and Black hole, and you can chase perfect scores on levels as you find the planets. The radio tracks and endless mode grow as you unlock more songs, so the first stretch is mostly about getting a feel for the boost and letting the trails build up. Take it easy with it.
