A puzzle you play inside
UFO: Unidentified Falling Objects drops you straight into a 2D puzzle grid where blocks and other obstacles rain down from above. You move around the puzzle itself, kicking blocks into place to line up big combos while dodging whatever else falls on your head. Clearing things quickly is the point: remove objects fast to level up and push your score as high as it will go. The game mixes platforming movement with puzzle destruction, so you are both jumping around like a platformer and reading the board like a puzzle game. Retro pixel graphics and a synthwave soundtrack carry it across six different worlds.
Playing together
You can chase objectives on your own or go head to head with other people. Local multiplayer supports 1 vs 1 on a split screen, and online play goes up to 20 players competing for the best score. Either way the format is score attack: everyone is trying to out-clear and out-combo the rest of the lobby. Controller support is listed, so a pad is a comfortable way to play.
Before you start
Progression runs through unlockable equipment that changes your weapon, movement style, and special kick powers, which in turn changes how you shoot, jump, and kick. Those choices matter for scoring and for beating other players, so expect to fiddle with your loadout as you go. The single player campaign introduces several eccentric characters along the way, each one bringing new unique challenges to complete. The whole package is tagged family friendly, so it suits a mixed group without much friction.
