A physics-driven industrial sandbox

Territory Control 2 is a 2D multiplayer sandbox built around industry, innovation, factions and combat. You design factories, customize tools and weapons, and shape the map with explosives, cranes, heavy machinery and unstable magitronic equipment. The physics system is central to the experience: you can hurl a safe with a crane, drag a friend out of a ditch with a winch, mount a heavy machine gun on a capybara, or mass-produce extremely flimsy but cheap rifles. The world is destructible, so trench warfare, artillery and careless giants leave real marks on the environment.

Playing with your group

Steam features Online Co-op and Online PvP, so your group can work together or fight each other. The store text describes factions as a core mechanic: you can fight for your faction, establish a police state and take control of other players' lives, operate heavy machinery to strip the map of natural resources, or trade with other players. The 4X mechanics and sandbox tools give your group room to build, expand and compete over territory. Emergent gameplay means the situation can shift quickly, from an engineering rescue to an all-out firefight.

What to know before starting

Territory Control 2 is in Early Access, so expect the game to change over time. The tone includes dark humor and absurd scenarios alongside serious strategy and combat. Some tools and weapons are deliberately unreliable, and the sandbox rewards creative problem-solving as much as raw firepower.
