Build your own Tech from blocks

TerraTech is an open-world sandbox where you assemble vehicles out of a large library of blocks — guns, wheels, wings and more. Cars, tanks, planes, resource machines, or a mix of all three: the parts you bolt on decide what your Tech can do. Blocks and items can be damaged or destroyed in a fight, so what you build also decides how long you last. Gathering and processing natural resources lets you put down storage, refining and construction bases, and craft new blocks from what you mine.

Playing together

Your group can run the Campaign side by side in Co-op Campaign, or just build freely together in Co-op Creative. When you want to fight each other instead, there's the Deathmatch Arena and Sumo. On top of that there's PvP in the mix, so expect rival prospectors to contest the ground you're working.

What to know before starting

Three ways to play are laid out: start a career as an Intergalactic prospector in Campaign, build without limits in Creative mode, or race your Techs against the clock in the Gauntlet Challenge. The worlds are procedurally generated and infinite, with treacherous mountain ranges, grasslands and huge deserts among the biomes, and more planned as development continues.

You're not the only miner out there. Rival miners want the same worlds, and defending your territory takes time, resources and skill — success earns you new land. Six Mining Corporations sell parts, each with its own specialty: GSO for general work, GeoCorp for heavy-duty strip-mining, Venture for high-performance recon, Hawkeye for military efficiency and stealth, Better Future for technological superiority, and Reticule Research for strange weaponry. Completing missions and finding blocks raises your standing with a Corp and unlocks their better components. Some parts come from beating time trial challenges, so expect to go looking for them rather than buying everything up front.
