Run a Restaurant Your Way

Tasty Chef puts you in charge of a restaurant where you do the work yourself: design work areas, place cooking equipment and storage, order ingredients, and prepare each dish step by step. You unlock recipes, choose which dishes to serve each day, turn off recipes you do not want to make, and adjust flavors to fit your restaurant's style. Every item has its own preparation process, so you will prepare ingredients, use different equipment, and complete each cooking step before the food or drink reaches the customer. The launch version includes a bubble tea shop and a sushi restaurant. You start with the bubble tea shop and unlock the sushi restaurant as you progress. Each restaurant has its own recipes, equipment, preparation processes, and management mechanics. The bubble tea shop centers on drink preparation and flavor customization, while the sushi restaurant brings in conveyor belt sushi and different systems that call for a new layout and workflow. There are no fixed levels; each restaurant is a business you keep expanding, optimizing, and personalizing. The bakery is not in the launch version and is planned for an update in October 2026.

Play Together Online

You can run the restaurant alone, lean on NPC employees, or play with friends through online co-op. With friends, split the work across the restaurant: one person handles orders, another preps ingredients, someone works the cooking stations, and another handles serving and restocking. The goal is keeping every area running smoothly when orders start coming in. When rush hour hits, anyone can jump back into the kitchen to help out. NPC employees can take orders, prepare ingredients, cook, serve, restock, and organize supplies, so a group can decide how much to automate and how much to do by hand. Some players will prefer hands-on cooking, others will focus on planning efficient workflows, managing inventory, or training staff.

What to Know Before Starting

Expect a lot of inventory management: purchasing ingredients, managing storage, and restocking are part of the routine, not side tasks. Layout matters, since freely placing equipment, storage units, and workstations determines how well your kitchen flows. Moving to a new restaurant type means redesigning your space to fit its mechanics rather than reusing the same setup. The game runs in fully 3D environments with a 2.5D-style top-down view, a bright cartoon look, and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. It supports single-player and multiplayer, so you can go at your own pace or coordinate with a group.
