Running a ramen shop from prep to cleanup

Japanese Ramen Simulator puts you behind the counter of your own ramen shop. You prepare the soup, cook the noodles, and arrange toppings so each bowl matches what the customer ordered, with attention to noodle texture, soup temperature, aroma, Umami, and how fast the order goes out. Different soup ingredients and physics-based plating mean no two bowls come out quite the same, so you can recreate a favorite style or invent something of your own. The menu also covers gyoza, rice bowls, beer, and dishes like Char Siu Don built from the ingredients you already prepped. You watch the gyoza brown and pour beer with a proper balance of liquid and foam. Beyond cooking, the job includes serving, looking after customers, and cleaning up when the rush is over.

Playing with friends

Online co-op supports up to six players, and the work splits naturally: one person preps ingredients, another cooks, someone plates and serves, and others handle customers and cleaning. In-game spatial voice chat is built in, with distance and walls affecting how voices sound, so it feels like calling across a real kitchen. You can also play solo and hire part-time NPC staff to help. Both first-person and third-person views are available, and you can switch if first person makes you uncomfortable. Beyond running service, you place cooking equipment, furniture, storage, and decorations to shape the kitchen and dining area, apply your own drawings to posters, noren curtains, bowls, and clothing, and visit a friend's shop to leave an autograph. Customization covers outfit, body shape, emotes, and noodle-draining animations, so a group can put together matching uniforms.

What to expect before opening

Rising Shop Levels unlock new ingredients and equipment, and the money you earn goes toward expanding the shop, adding menu items, and improving the dining area. Service does not always go smoothly: a demanding ramen critic may drop in and judge aroma, Umami, and toppings, thieves may go after the cash register, and fires can break out without warning. Shuriken, fire extinguishers, and similar items are there to deal with trouble, and there is a gambling hall if you want to try your luck. Unusual interactive fixtures like toilets and gas cylinders are part of the space you can arrange. The game is in Early Access, so expect it to still be developing while you play.
