A dungeon that keeps changing
Tallowmere 2: Curse of the Kittens is a 2D pixel roguelike where you fight through Lady Tallowmere's dungeon room by room. Each room fills with more enemies the further you push, and you need to find the key in every room to move on. Raising your shield is how you survive the hits that would otherwise end the run. Between rooms you level up and pick up weapons, shields, blessings, and potions that change how your character plays. Rooms, enemies, items, and modifiers are generated fresh every run, so no two attempts hand you the same layout. Your score comes from the room number you reach, which makes each run a push to get deeper than the last.
Playing with your group
You can play alone, share a screen on the couch with up to 4 players, or run an online co-op game with up to 4 players per session. Before each adventure you pick your character and starting weapon, so everyone can settle into a build they like. Weapons behave differently from one another, so the group benefits from covering different roles rather than everyone swinging the same thing. Loot gets better the deeper you go, which gives the party a reason to keep pushing instead of stopping early. Remote Play Together is supported if someone wants to join without owning a copy.
What to know before starting
Deaths are permanent, so a run ends when it ends and you start over from the beginning. Healing comes from potions, hearts, or a visit to Lady Tallowmere, and you should use those before a bad room takes you out. Progress far enough and you unlock more starting gear, since the game rewards success rather than failure. You can save anywhere and resume later, and your high scores, achievements, and settings sync through Steam Cloud. Keyboard, mouse, and controller all work, with rebinding, UI scaling, screen shake, post-processing, resolution, and frame rate options available if the defaults do not suit you.
