What Super Shout Showdown is
Super Shout Showdown is a 3D anime-style spellcasting fighter where you build your own character, write your own incantations, and shout them into a microphone to cast. There are over 100 spells to discover: massive energy blasts, teleports, heavy strikes, and ultimate attacks, plus elemental options like fire to burn, ice to freeze, and darkness to blind. You can experiment and combine them until you land on a fighting style that feels like yours. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to still be moving and changing.
How your group plays together
Duels settle who is the strongest spellcaster in a straight one-on-one. Team Battle puts you and your friends on the same side, where you combo spells and work together toward a win. Free-for-All throws up to 16 players into one big map where danger can come from any direction, which is where things get properly chaotic. Online co-op and online PvP are both supported, so your Discord group can team up or turn on each other depending on the mode.
Casting with your voice or without it
Shouting Mode uses your real voice through a microphone to cast, which is the intended way to play and the most direct route to feeling like you are in the anime. If you have no voice available, Typing Mode lets you type your incantations mid-fight instead. Tapping Mode is for playing with a mouse or controller, where the focus shifts to timing and hitting the cast at the right moment. Your custom chants apply across these, so you can go full anime or full nonsense.
Before you start
Your avatar comes from VRoid: design one yourself or use permitted avatars from VRoid Hub, then bring that character into battle. A microphone opens up Shouting Mode, but the typing and tapping options mean you are not locked out without one. Since this is Early Access, treat the current spell roster and balance as a work in progress rather than a finished picture.
