What Super Cyborg is
Super Cyborg is an old school run'n'gun action game where you play an elite battle cyborg sent to investigate a series of anomalies on a mysterious island. Scientists woke up a merciless alien known as the Xirxul life form, and now all humanity is in danger. You shoot, run and jump through 7 levels packed with endless hordes of biological terrors and some of the fiercest boss fights in any title. The goal is simple: destroy everything that moves on this island, because if it moves, it kills. The game is built around 2D pixel graphics and a side scrolling view, with a soundtrack credited to Darkman007.
Playing it with your group
Super Cyborg supports Online Co-op, so you and your friends can take on the levels together over the internet. It also has Remote Play Together, which lets someone join your session even if they do not have the game. Either way, you go through the same 7 levels side by side, dealing with the swarms of enemies and the boss encounters as a team. Expect a hectic shared screen where everyone is shooting, running and jumping at once.
Before you start
The game is tagged as difficult and hardcore, so the levels and bosses are meant to push you. It is a shooter and platformer at heart, with retro style and gore in the mix. There is no mention of difficulty settings or level select in the store text, so go in ready for a demanding run from the start. The store text also notes that trading cards are included.
