A trooper left behind

You are a space trooper whose crew finished the cleaning mission and headed home without you. Now you are surrounded by aliens that want to tear you apart, and the only goal is to stay alive as long as you can. The game is a 2D pixel-art shoot 'em up with a hardcore streak: enemies keep coming, deaths come fast, and every run is about pushing further than the last one. The store text hints that your crew may help you later, and that another squad member might have been left behind too, but the opening situation is clear — you are alone against the horde.

Fighting and looting

You have an arsenal of five weapons, and they come from bosses you take down. Aliens will also drop other weaponry sometimes, as long as they are not damaged, so what you carry depends on what you have been shooting. Points matter for the long game: the store text calls out 1000 and 2000 points as marks worth chasing, and Steam achievements and leaderboards let your friends see who got further. The difficulty tag says it all — expect to die, learn the patterns, and try again.

Playing with friends

Split-screen co-op lets you bring a friend in with an Xbox controller, so two of you can hold the line together on one screen. Remote Play Together is also listed as a Steam feature, which gives your group another way to join up. Either way, the shared session is the same survival run: coordinate who takes which threats, keep each other standing, and see how long the pair of you lasts.

Before you start

The presentation is deliberately retro: hand-drawn pixel sprites and backgrounds, chip sounds in the NES and Famicom tradition, and a chiptune soundtrack by Awesome Force, whose Codex EP is available on Bandcamp if the music lands with you. The tags include Difficult and Hardcore, so go in expecting a tough arcade challenge rather than a relaxed stroll. Grab a controller, sort out the co-op setup with whoever you are playing with, and get ready to fight.
