What G WARRIOR is
G WARRIOR is a retro hardcore action shooting game built around pixel graphics in the style of the 1990s, with music in retro 8-bit style. You pick up a gun and push through stages full of robots and aliens, running and jumping your way forward. The settings change as you go: snowy mountains, caves, seas of fire, alien lairs and other colorful scenes. The game leans on classic arcade conventions — fast movement, dense enemy fire, and bosses that demand you learn their attack patterns rather than just outshoot them.
How a group plays it together
The game supports Remote Play Together, so one person who owns it can invite friends along through Steam's streaming feature. Everyone plays on the same screen, streamed from the host's machine, which suits a run-and-gun game where you are all watching the same action. Set it up in advance: the host launches the game, sends the invite, and the rest of the group joins from their own machines. Since the whole session runs through the host's connection, a stable network on both sides keeps the action responsive.
Weapons and combat
Your loadout is a big part of the fun. You get a variety of weapons and skills to work with, including lasers, shields, shotguns, charged energy cannons and flames. Each one changes how you handle a room: some tools are for clearing crowds, others for surviving a boss's attack patterns. Picking up weapons on the run is part of the loop, so expect to swap and adapt as you move through a stage. Bosses are the main test — their attacks need to be dodged and punished cleanly, and having the right weapon ready makes that much easier.
Before you start
This is labeled a hardcore action game, so expect a demanding difficulty curve with plenty of enemy fire to read and avoid. It is a 2D side-scrolling experience with a strong retro look and sound, which is the point rather than a limitation.
