A shared sudoku board

Sudoku Zenkai is a straightforward sudoku game built for playing with other people. The board sits in the middle and everyone works on the same grid, so you can start a fresh puzzle together or bring a friend in when a particular cell has you stuck. Two people spotting different patterns usually gets a row moving again faster than one person staring at it.

Choosing your puzzle

The generator builds puzzles locally, so there is always a new board available without needing an internet connection. Six difficulty levels run from Trainee up to Zenkai, which lets a group mix experience levels and still find something that fits. If plain numbers get dull, emblems swap them for letters, Greek characters, kanji and other sets, and themes change how the board looks.

Tools on the board

Pencil mode works like paper notes, and the notes clear themselves automatically once you commit a number to a cell. Duplicate Highlighting marks anything that repeats in a row, column or square, which catches the easy mistakes before they spread. When you hit a wall, Hints nudge you forward, and Last Valid Board rolls the puzzle back to a point where things were still correct. Achievements and leaderboards track completion times if the group wants to race, and Steam Cloud keeps progress synced across machines.
