What Puzzle With Your Friends is
Puzzle With Your Friends is a jigsaw-style puzzle game from SkyCat Games and bumblebee. You put together hand-drawn artworks, either on your own or over the internet with other people. The game ships with 37 artworks, all drawn by different artists and pulled from various indie games, so the pictures you assemble change quite a bit from one puzzle to the next. It runs in 2D with a pixel and hand-drawn look, and the whole thing is built around sitting down and taking your time rather than beating a clock.
Playing together and against each other
Multiplayer runs through Steam, and there are two directions you can take it. In co-op mode you and your friends work on the same puzzle as a team, sharing the pieces and the picture between you. In versus mode you turn it into a match and compete against each other instead. Either way there is a built-in chat system, so you can talk while you play without leaving the game. If you prefer to keep your own company, the singleplayer mode gives you the full set of artworks to work through alone.
Before you start
There is a Steam Leaderboard attached to the game, so your results get compared with your friends and with other players. Alongside the puzzles themselves you will find achievements, trading cards and emoticons to collect. The tone is relaxed and family friendly, which makes it a good pick for a group that wants something low-pressure to do together on a quiet evening. Pick co-op if you want a shared, calm session, pick versus if you would rather have something to argue about afterwards.
